For over nine years, we have built our reputation on premium craftsmanship, thoughtful customization, and a deep commitment to every client we serve. As part of our commitment to on-time delivery, we ship all orders ahead of schedule — a practice we have followed for nine years to ensure that every client receives their gift sets well before their target event date. This proactive approach has allowed us to maintain a perfect delivery track record since we began, and it remains one of the cornerstones of how we operate.
Because the heart of our business is advance-production, bulk event gifting — from wedding favors and corporate giveaways to debut souvenirs, baptism gifts, and curated bundle boxes — our policies are designed to reflect the realities of custom, volume-based production while protecting the interests of both our clients and our team.
Please read this policy in full before placing an order or confirming a booking. By settling a downpayment, completing a purchase, or confirming an order through our website or any official channel, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all terms outlined below.
1. Downpayment Policy, Payment Terms, and Production Commencement
Himalayan Salt and Light PH operates exclusively on a downpayment-first, production-upon-confirmation model — a practice that has allowed us to consistently deliver quality orders and remain in business for over nine years.
Downpayment Requirements:
The required downpayment amount is not fixed and is determined based on the volume, complexity, and total value of the order. Each client will be advised of the applicable downpayment amount during the order consultation and booking process, prior to any payment being made. This ensures that the downpayment accurately reflects the materials, labor, and production resources required to commence your specific order.
- For smaller retail or standard orders, a proportionate downpayment will be required as advised by our team.
- For large bulk orders — particularly those involving extensive customization, premium packaging, or high-volume gift set production — a higher downpayment may be required to cover the significant upfront cost of materials and production preparation.
- The downpayment amount will always be communicated clearly and agreed upon by both parties before any payment is processed.
Accepted Payment Methods:
To ensure the security and integrity of every transaction, Himalayan Salt and Light PH accepts the following payment methods only:
- Cash (for in-person transactions and store pickups)
- Bank transfer (BDO, BPI, or other major Philippine banks as advised by our team)
- GCash and other confirmed digital payment platforms
We do not accept post-dated checks or Purchase Orders (P.O.) under any circumstances. All payments must be confirmed and cleared before production commences or any order is dispatched. Himalayan Salt and Light PH reserves the right to place an order on hold until valid and confirmed payment is received.
Production Commencement:
- Production begins immediately upon receipt of the downpayment. Once payment is confirmed and order details — including quantity, bundle configuration, packaging, tags, ribbons, and other specifications — are finalized, we immediately begin sourcing materials, assembling boxes, and preparing your order. There is no grace period or cancellation window after a downpayment has been made, as production resources and materials are committed at the point of payment confirmation.
- The downpayment is strictly non-refundable under all circumstances, as it directly covers the cost of materials, labor, and production resources allocated to your order from the moment it is confirmed.
Full Balance Payment Terms:
- Standard Orders (below 100 gift sets): The remaining balance must be settled in full at least 3 to 5 business days before the agreed delivery or pickup date. Orders will not be released or dispatched until full payment has been confirmed.
- Large Bulk Orders (100 gift sets and above): The remaining balance must be settled in full at least 7 to 14 days before the agreed delivery or pickup date, to allow sufficient time for final quality checks, packaging, and logistics coordination.
- Walk-in / Store Pickup: The remaining balance must be settled in full on the day of pickup, prior to the release of any items. No items will be handed over until full payment is received and confirmed.
- In the event of non-payment of the remaining balance by the agreed due date, Himalayan Salt and Light PH reserves the right to withhold the release of the completed order. Withheld orders will be held for a maximum of 14 calendar days from the agreed delivery or pickup date, after which the order may be forfeited without refund of the downpayment or any amounts previously paid.
- By settling a downpayment, the client formally acknowledges that production has commenced and that the order is fully bound by the terms of this policy.
2. Client Responsibility for Customization Approval
We provide digital proofs, tag designs, and customization previews for every personalized order. It is the sole and complete responsibility of the client to carefully review, proofread, and approve all customization details before production begins.
- This includes, but is not limited to: names, spellings, dates, dedications, tag designs, ribbon colors, packaging configurations, and all other personalized elements as specified by the client.
- Once a client approves the proof or customization details — whether in writing, via message, or implicitly by proceeding with payment — Himalayan Salt and Light PH bears no liability for any errors, misspellings, or inaccuracies found on the finished products.
- Any corrections must be communicated to us before production begins. Requests for changes after production has commenced cannot be accommodated.
- Any reprinting, remaking, or replacement of items resulting from client-approved errors will be produced at the client’s full expense.
- We produce exactly what has been submitted and approved. We are not responsible for errors in content, names, or designs provided by the client.
3. Bulk, Customized, and Advance-Production Orders (All Sales Final)
At Himalayan Salt and Light PH, we do not simply assemble gift sets — we handcraft and produce our own premium gift boxes from the ground up. Every box, ribbon finish, and packaging detail is created in-house with meticulous attention to quality and presentation. This level of craftsmanship is what sets our products apart, and it is also what makes our production timeline non-negotiable.
Our production process — including the preparation of premium ribbons, the assembly of custom gift boxes, and the application of finishing details — requires a mandatory curing and drying period of 2 to 3 weeks under proper weather and environmental conditions. This ensures that every gift box reaches our clients in pristine, ready-to-gift condition. As a result, by the time a client is notified of order progress, a substantial portion of the production work has already been completed and cannot be undone.
All sales are strictly final once a downpayment has been received and production has commenced.
- We do not accept returns or exchanges for bulk or customized orders on the basis of change of mind, event cancellations, postponements, or date changes.
- Once production begins, raw materials have been sourced, boxes assembled, and bundles prepared exclusively for your order. Cancellations or modifications at this stage cannot be accommodated.
- In cases of event postponements or date changes, Himalayan Salt and Light PH may, at its sole discretion, hold completed orders for a mutually agreed period. However, no compensation will be issued for completed or in-progress production under any circumstances.
4. Retail and Non-Customized Items
For individual, non-personalized retail products purchased in standard quantities — such as single salt lamps or standard candle warmers without custom packaging:
- Clients may request an exchange within 7 days of receiving the item, for defective or incorrectly fulfilled items only. We do not accept returns or exchanges on the basis of change of mind.
- To qualify, the item must be completely unused, unaltered, in its original packaging, and in the exact condition as received.
- Return shipping is the full responsibility of the client. Items must be securely packed for return transit; we are not liable for damage incurred during return shipping.
- All exchange requests are subject to stock availability and management approval. If the item is unavailable, the request may be declined. No store credit, cash refund, or alternative compensation will be issued.
5. Order Quantity Variance
For bulk orders, minor quantity variances may occur as a result of our quality control process, where items that do not meet our standards are removed prior to packaging and dispatch.
- Himalayan Salt and Light PH reserves a production variance tolerance of up to ±3 pieces per bulk order.
- Any shortfall within this tolerance will be either prorated and credited toward a future order, or fulfilled in the next available production run — at our discretion and subject to mutual agreement with the client.
- Variances beyond this tolerance will be communicated to the client promptly and resolved accordingly.
6. Packaging, Product, and Material Substitution
We are committed to delivering every order exactly as confirmed. However, in the event that a specific packaging component, product item, ribbon color, box material, or any other production material becomes unavailable due to supply constraints, discontinuation, or circumstances beyond our control:
- Himalayan Salt and Light PH reserves the right to substitute the unavailable item or material with an equivalent of equal or greater value, ensuring the overall quality and presentation of your order is maintained.
- We will provide prior notice to the client whenever a substitution is necessary, and will make every effort to present an alternative that aligns with the original order specifications.
- If the client does not agree with the proposed substitution, both parties will work toward a mutually acceptable resolution. However, this does not entitle the client to a cancellation or refund of the downpayment, as production resources already committed cannot be recovered.
7. Photography and Content Rights
Himalayan Salt and Light PH takes pride in the craftsmanship of every order we produce. As part of our ongoing commitment to showcasing our work:
- We reserve the right to photograph completed gift sets and orders for use in our portfolio, website, and social media channels, unless the client explicitly requests otherwise in writing prior to the start of production.
- All photographs taken by Himalayan Salt and Light PH of completed orders remain the intellectual property of Himalayan Salt and Light PH.
- Clients who wish to opt out of having their order photographed must submit this request in writing before production begins.
8. Order Confidentiality
We value the trust our clients place in us, particularly our corporate partners and event organizers.
- Himalayan Salt and Light PH treats all client order details, customization specifications, and event information with strict confidentiality.
- Client order information will not be shared with any third party without the explicit written consent of the client, except where required by law or necessary for the fulfillment of the order (e.g., courier coordination).
9. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrectly Fulfilled Items
Every order leaves our hands carefully packed and ready to gift. However, Himalayan salt products and glassware can be fragile in transit — particularly for large bulk shipments. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrectly fulfilled, we will make it right.
To file a claim, the following must be completed:
- Timeframe: You must notify us within 24 to 48 hours of confirmed delivery. Claims submitted beyond this window will not be entertained.
- Documentation Required: Send your Order Number, along with clear photographs and an unboxing video showing the damage or discrepancy, to himalayansaltandlight@gmail.com or through our official channels. For bulk orders, all affected pieces must be documented.
- Resolution: Upon verification and approval, we will arrange for the replacement or exchange of affected items with equivalent goods at no additional cost to you. We do not issue monetary refunds for items damaged in transit. Our commitment is to ensure every client receives their complete order in perfect condition.
10. Third-Party Delivery and Force Majeure
Himalayan Salt and Light PH partners with third-party courier and logistics providers to deliver orders across the Philippines. While we take every precaution in packaging and coordinating shipments, we do not have direct control over the operations, handling practices, or delivery timelines of third-party couriers once an order has been handed over for dispatch.
- Himalayan Salt and Light PH shall not be held liable for delays, losses, or damages caused by third-party courier mishandling, logistical failures, or circumstances beyond our control.
- In the event of delivery delays or issues, we will make every reasonable effort to coordinate with the courier on the client’s behalf. However, resolution timelines are subject to the courier’s own policies and processes.
- Furthermore, Himalayan Salt and Light PH shall not be held liable for delays or failure to fulfill orders resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural calamities, typhoons, flooding, government-mandated lockdowns, supply chain disruptions, or other force majeure events. In such cases, we will communicate with affected clients as promptly as possible and work toward the best available resolution.
11. Claim Resolution Timeline
Upon receipt of your claim, our team will review the documentation and notify you of the outcome within 3 to 5 business days.
If approved, we will coordinate the replacement or exchange of affected items as promptly as production availability allows. No monetary refunds will be issued under this section — resolution is provided exclusively through item replacement or equivalent exchange.
12. Governing Law
This policy and all transactions made through Himalayan Salt and Light PH are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising from or related to orders, payments, or the terms of this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the appropriate courts of the Philippines.
